Kids and Steroids

This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOUsrpT3gXY) shows and tells you about affects of steroids on people and some statistics involving steroids. For instance, steroids can affect your temper and can cause joint deterioration. The man described in the video, "ripped the door out of the frame." A statistic was that 1 in 45 12th graders have admitted to taking steroids. Also, it is very easy to get steroids all you have to do is order them online. Lastly, the man who is focused on mostly in this video, Matt Barnes, even with all the problems steroids has caused is excited to start using them again even if it kills him.

I can understand if someone was willing to do anything to achieve their goals would get steroids since it is so easy to obtain them. But, if you've experienced all these problems and really negative side effects why would you want to continue taking them. Also, if taking them again could kill you why would you be excited to start using steroids again, even if it will help you doing what you love, you could end up dying when you're only twenty years old. I believe that Matt Barnes should just give up steroids all together and opt for more healthier and safer supplements to aid in his bodybuilding career.

Steroids and Sports

The man in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DukyZiY_K5w) believes that steroids should be in sports. In his opinion he believes that more people would rather watch players using steroids over players who didn't if they were unaware of who was using steroids. For example, major league baseball became more popular when a lot of players starting using steroids. This is because fans want to see records broken and records get broken quicker with the help of steroids.

I disagree that steroids should be used in sports. Sports is about fair competition an whoever is more skilled and has trained harder will win. If a bunch of players on a team started using steroids and played against teams that didn't use steroids it would be unfair. I do agree however that the majority of fans would rather watch sports that highly involve steroids if they were unaware that the steroids were being used. The reason being that most fans don't enjoy the little things that happen in sports they want to see exciting and thrilling moments ALL THE TIME.
